Indem ich Ihnen dankend den Empfang des Textes (bis zum Schluß des Hauptwerkes) bestätige, dessen Korrektur ich abzuschließen im Begriffe bin, 1 ersuche ich höflichst mir nach Möglichkeit die noch fehlenden Notenbeispiele gesetzt einzuschicken, 2 damit ich, wie ich schon einmal erwähnte, noch vor meiner Sommerreise in der Lage bin, denselben nach den Originalen zu revidieren 3 Mit ausgez. Cotta], I gratefully acknowledge receipt of the text (through to the end of the main work), and am in process of finishing off correcting the proofs of it. 1 I ask you kindly to send me the music examples that are still lacking as soon as they have been set, 2 so that, as already mentioned once before, I am in a position to check them against the originals before I leave for my Summer holidays. 3 With kind regards, Your devoted [signed:] H. Footnotes1 It would appear that by "text" Schenker is referring to the letterpress to the end of Part II ‒ i.e. second proofs of all the text matter ‒ but complete with music examples on location. He has previously raised this matter in [/documents/correspondence/CA-25.html] , May 25, 1906, and in [/documents/correspondence/CA-27.html] , June 4. 2 In [/documents/correspondence/OJ-9-31_9.html] , June 5, Cotta distinguished between those music examples that are set within the text, which they expect imminently, and those that are not, which they expect in early July. 3 Schenker traveled on July 9 ( [/documents/correspondence/CA-33.html] ), arriving in Ötz on July 10 (diary).
