2 Schenker's diary for January 19, 1927, OJ 3/9, p. 3024: "An der Akademie-Kassa erhalte ich nur 327.51 Sch.!!! Es wird mir ein Büchlein vorgelegt, in dem ich Tatsächlich[sic] Posten von 200 u. 100 Sch. gesehen habe, doch konnte ich daraus nicht klug werden; es heißt: die Zinsen seien zurückgegangen." ("At the cashier's office of the Academy I receive only 327.51 shillings!!! I am shown a little book in which I have actually seen entries of 200 and 100 shillings, yet I could not make sense of them; it is explained to me: the interest rates have gone down."). — The diary for later the same day, pp. 3026‒3027 reads: "An Vrieslander (K.): mein Bruder hält die Angabe der Akademie für unreell; am Ende haben sie eine Taxe für meine Ernennung zum Hofrat zurückbehalten!" ("To Vrieslander (postcard): my brother regards the amount received from the Academy as unfair; in the end they have withheld a tax for my nomination as court counselor!").
