Husband of Jetty Bednař. The couple had three sons: Ludwig, Albin (jnr), and Heini. Albin (snr) was an Oberinspektor (Chief Inspector) on the Aspangbahn (Aspang Railway). He lived with his family at Oberzellergasse 10, in the 3rd district of Vienna (Landstraße) not far from Schenker.
