Celebrated Dutch Jewish mezzo soprano, known as the "Dutch nightingale." She was exclusively a concert artist, specializing in solo song.
Schenker heard her sing Scottish songs by Beethoven at a Musikgesellschaft concert on February 6, 1907, and praised her in his diary. Hans Weisse told Schenker in a letter of July 7, 1912 that Culp was considering singing his Mädchen-Lieder.
