Lanzer was the attorney of Alfred Rothberger. In November 1930, Schenker called upon his services to assist over his financial difficulties with his younger brother, Moriz Schenker, for a period of two years, after which Schenker, Lanzer, and Jeanette continued to be in contact until the end of 1934, mostly socially, and several times during vacations in the Tyrol. Lanzer is mentioned numerous times in Schenker’s diaries.
